WATER CAPSULE


Water capsule is introduced to sustain water in the soil. Each Hydrogel capsule consist of environment friendly starch. This help the water capsule to sustain water in soil.

ORIGIN

Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), Delhi have introduced Hydrogel technology. Dr. K.M Sunil Kumar, KVK(Krishi Vigyan Kendra) with the help of researchers have transformed this Hydrogel into capsule shaped and make it easy to carry and use.

PRICE

The price of one capsule as per today's date is Rs 3.

HOW TO USE

User need to dig the soil and place the capsule near to the roots of the plants according to the size of the plants. 

FUNCTION

The experts says that capsule is more better than other form of Hydrogel. Whenever the availability of water content in the soil is low, the roots of plants starts absorbing water from the capsule according to its needs. The experts says that it is much beneficial in the case of plants growing in grow bags and pots. In small grow bags , one capsule is needed and in case of big grow bags, it requires two capsules. One Banana tree needs four capsules placed in four different places. Coconut tree needs twenty pieces of capsule deposited in twenty places near to it. The expiry of one capsule is three months.

Dropping water capsules for irrigating plants is not enough but people also need to give other ways of  water supply for plants. The main advantage of water capsules is to reduce the workload of farmers in irrigation. The materials used for manufacturing the cover of Hydrogel capsule is similar to the cover used for manufacturing medical capsules.

This water capsule is supplied through KVK( Krishi Vigyan Kendra) stalls in Palakkad and other Agriculture centers.
