WHAT IS PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT TEAM?
During the Covid pandemic period, Government has introduced Psychosocial Support Team for helping people who are facing physical and mental health problems in various districts of Kerala.
WHO ARE THE MEMBERS?
The Psychosocial support team consist of Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Social worker, Counsellor who provide free services for the relief of problems faced by people during lockdown period.
ACTIVITIES
The team members contact each Covid patients in each district to know about their physical and mental health problems, their needs and wants and provide help accordingly.
The person who are facing mental health problems and need support can contact the helpline number and make use of help from the team members. The medicines for the people are distributed through Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and people with other needs can contact ICDS and other Government health service offices. The counselling is also given to alcohol addicts, school children, stress affected persons, health workers etc. This service is available in every district of kerala.
