YOUTUBE HAS UPDATED THE TERMS OF SERVICE

We all know that YouTube is an online video platform owned by Google. Most of the e-mail users got an e-mail from YouTube about their update in 'Terms of Service'. The email tells that the new 'Terms of Service' should not significantly change our use of the YouTube services. The new terms of YouTube come into effect on June 1, 2021 for the users outside U.S. 

They also tells that the terms were similarly updated in U.S in November 2020. To continue to use YouTube after this date you need to agree the new terms. 

The summary of changes is listed below:

1) Facial Recognition restrictions: The user cannot collect any information of a person without their permission which might identify a person. 

2) YouTube's right to monetize: The advertisement may appear on videos of the channels which is not in YouTube partner program. It means that all the videos in YouTube start showing ads without  applying for monetization.  

3) Royalty payment and tax withholding: Any payments which the YouTube video creators entitled to receive from YouTube under any agreement between you and YouTube will be treated as royalties. The google will withhold taxes from such payments if required by law.

Those who allow their child to use YouTube kids, you also need to agree the new terms in behalf of your child.
